Rajat Patidar earned the Player of the Match honor by powering RCB with his 51 runs from 30 balls during the first innings.

Notable Moments

In the final over, Tim David launched three consecutive sixes to give RCB their dominant total. The opening overs from Josh Hazlewood gave the Chennai Super Kings an immediate disadvantage in this match. RCB began their victory streak at Chepauk after 17 years, which marked a turning point in their tournament progress.  

Conclusion

IPL 2025 witnessed RCB dominate CSK with their deep batting lineup and controlled bowling tactics. Rajat Patidar delivered an important fifty, and Tim David produced aggressive blows at the death to create a difficult total against CSK because Josh Hazlewood eliminated CSK’s opening line-up quickly. The win finished RCB’s wait of 17 years for success at Chepauk while reinforcing their chances of becoming IPL champions.
